Nicole Scherzinger looks oar-some as she teaches Lewis Hamilton to paddle-surf

He's the sports star, and she's the singer.

But when it comes to paddle-surfing, Hawaii native Nicole Scherzinger is very much the expert.
The Pussycat Doll gave her Formula 1 boyfriend, former world champion Lewis Hamilton, a lesson in the sport yesterday.

Wearing nothing but a tiny hot pink bikini, the 32-year-old took to the water and navigated her way downstream looking at ease on her board.

Stand-up paddle-surfing, known as Hoe he'e nalu in the Hawaiian language, is an emerging sport with a Hawaiian heritage.

Given that Nicole spends most of her time singing and dancing in high heels, the seasoned performer probably found this latest barefoot adventure a fairly simple task.

Hamilton looked a little less certain, sitting safely on his board as Nicole took the lead, but he recovered enough confidence to attempt taking a picture of her while standing.
Nicole isn't just in top form in the water, either.

She received excellent reviews for her role in the recent Neil Patrick Harris directed Hollywood Bowl production of Rent, where she played the bi-sexual Maureen.

'She took an iconic character, immortalized by a beloved and Tony-winning actress and made the part fresh and very much her own,' a reviewer wrote on The Huffington Post.

And she also made a huge impression on the X-Factor talent show in the UK, when she stood in as a guest judge while Cheryl Cole was recovering from malaria and Dannii Minogue was away on maternity leave.

Now, Simon Cowell wants the multi-faceted entertainer to return and help with the final stage of auditions.

According to Marie Claire magazine, Simon has reportedly offered Nicole the use of his private jet to get from location to location, in an attempt to convince her to stay on.
'Cheryl and Dannii might still be on the show - but Nicole is the hot new girl on the block,' said an ITV spokesperson.

And Nicole apparently enjoyed her guest judge stint on the show, too, telling Marie Claire: 'It's been amazing, a really wild ride. 'I've had a lot more fun than I anticipated. I loved it. The whole thing is a phenomenon. I'm a real X Factor fan.
