Horner praises 'well behaved' drivers

Starting first and third on the grid with Mark Webber ahead of Sebastian Vettel, a flying start from the latter saw him challenge Webber through Turn One.

And while one could argue that Webber was within his rights to shut the door on his team-mate, instead he left it open, allowing Vettel into the lead - and, ultimately, handing him the victory.

'Leaving Melbourne was really frustrating but thankfully this race was only seven days away and we leave here feeling a lot better'...
Christian Horner
.
"They behaved extremely well and Mark gave Sebastian enough room and vice versa, so it was fair, clean racing," Horner said.

With the Red Bull's line and stern throughout the grand prix, Horner revealed they were given the call to turn their engines down as the Sepang heat and humidity is known for being tough on cars.

That, though, was the one time they didn't listen. In fact, Webber set the fastest time of the grand prix on lap 53 out of the 56.

"With 20 laps to go, we asked them both to turn everything down and look after their engines and brakes - but then they started turning the time sheets purple, going faster every lap and racing each other, which shows how much notice they take of us.

"But seriously, leaving Melbourne was really frustrating but thankfully this race was only seven days away and we leave here feeling a lot better.

"It is great for Formula One and the Championship."
