Kimi Räikkönen's McLaren-teammate Pedro de la Rosa may have cut corners in Jerez in the past during testing to get the fastest times in his names, Austrian ORF tv-channel's F1-expert and former F1-driver Alex Wurz believes.
ORF:s reporter snatched Räikkönen into an interview during Monza GP -weekend and asked on behalf of Wurz the following: “Did you ever find out if de la Rosa was in the habit of cutting the chicane in Jerez in order to get the fastest time?”
- Yeah, we often joked about it, because he was always very fast there, Räikkönen laughed in the interview.
- We were quite sure about it with Alex that [de la Rosa] cheated there in tests, although we don't have any proof of the matter.
