Fitness-trainer: Kimi will adapt to early mornings

Rally-driver Kimi Räikkönen's fitness-trainer Mark Arnall isn't concerned about the fact that sleep debt was bothering the Iceman at Sweden WC-rally's Sunday's first special stage.

In rally the racing days stretch clearly longer than in F1. At the night the cars are in Parc Fermé, where they are driven out already at dawn.

- You have to come to rally as well-rested as possible. You can not do anything about how long the racing days are. Rally is more tiring than a F1-weekend. The awakening was at least in this rally at 5 am, Arnall told MTV3.

- In F1 the car is driven for example on Friday 12-15 laps in the first practice and little bit more on the second practice. After that a meeting is held with engineers and you go back to the hotel. Here you drive much more and the concentration has to last much longer, even though you wake up early in the morning and go to sleep late at night, Arnall compared the sports.

Räikkönen admitted of being really tired on Sunday-morning's first special stage but the short nights which rally requires are not seen as a problem for the F1-champion.

- Kimi didn't have actual problems with the issue. It is just different for him. The more rallies he drives, the easier it will be to adjust to the timetable. Here is a learning-process going on so that everything can be fitted to the timetable, Arnall said.
