I will solve my issues, says Massa

Felipe Massa has vowed to rectify the gremlins which have seen him fall to seventh in the Drivers' Championship and 18 points behind team leader Fernando Alonso. Having achieved podiums in Bahrain and Australia, the Brazilian has since finished seventh, ninth and sixth in Malaysia, China and Spain.

After impressing many by returning to form immediately at the start of the season, returning to race after his horrific and life-threatening qualifying crash in Hungary last year, Massa has since appeared to struggle for raw pace in the Ferrari F10 as has been seen to delay his team-mate on-track in both Melbourne and Shanghai.

"Over the winter tests I was 110 percent happy with the car and then we went to the first race and it was great - everything was working perfectly and as I wanted," he explained in Monaco's press conference on Wednesday.

"Then, when we changed the tyres (from Super Soft and Medium compounds in Bahrain to Soft and Hard from Australia to Spain), I was always struggling a little bit more to get used to the car and the grip levels, so that was the biggest problem which I've felt over the last races."

However, with Monaco using the same Bridgestone compounds which were taken to Bahrain, Felipe promises to figure out his current problems.

"There are some issues which I've felt this year but I'm working very hard and I'm going to solve the problems," he said firmly. "We know they are issues which have cost me a few points in the last races but it's something that I know I'm going to solve."
