Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger are back together

Now the gruelling F1 season is over Lewis Hamilton has the chance to experience everything he's missed out on this year

The Inbetweeners Movie, Downton Abbey, Mandy coming back to EastEnders, buying himself a pair of red jeans — they are all things he could be familiarising himself with.

But the big loved-up softie has only one thing on his mind — getting back together with Nicole Scherzinger.

The stars are back on after agreeing to give their relationship another go.

And they've planned a series of secret meetings over the next few weeks to rediscover that magic formula. A source said: "It's a struggle to maintain a blossoming relationship during the F1 season.

"Lewis is so busy and in a different country every other week. When they can't see each other they use things like Skype, but that's no substitute for the real thing, "With no F1 distractions, Lewis aims to spend some proper time with Nicole. He can't wait."

Unfortunately for him, Nicole is getting to the business end of judging on the first series of the American X Factor.

The final is just before Christmas so Lewis will have to share her with Simon Cowell until then.

The F1 star put on a brave face after the split in October and they briefly met in LA last month to have a heart-to-heart.

Lewis said: "We still have very, very strong feelings for each other and I still love her very much.

"Who knows, maybe we will be together in the future?

"It was a really positive few days. I came away from LA feeling great and things are getting into perspective."

You can't blame Lewis for wanting to get their future sorted quickly.

Any single woman in the company of US X Factor host Steve Jones doesn't remain untouched for long.

It's just lucky Lewis has a fast car.

Lewis Hamilton confirms split with girlfriend

Lewis Hamilton confirmed on Thursday that he and singer girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger had split

"We're friends at least and we can move forward," the McLaren driver told British reporters at the inaugural Indian Formula One Grand Prix when asked whether the couple had parted on good terms.

"It's never easy going through tough times. These times are sent to try you, and it's about how you pull through them," said the 2008 world champion.

McLaren had been dating the American since March last year when they reunited after a previous split. "I've my family who are helping, so I feel pretty good," Hamilton said.

Scherzinger, former lead singer with the Pussycat Dolls, has achieved fresh celebrity with her role on the judging panel of the U.S. television show "The X Factor."

Hamilton qualified on pole in South Korea two weeks ago, and finished second behind Red Bull's champion Sebastian Vettel, but barely smiled during the weekend.

Team boss Martin Whitmarsh alluded to a personal problem when he told reporters at the time that "he's had a lot of speculation about him and his private life, which he doesn't want, and doesn't welcome, I'm sure."

Hamilton said he felt positive about the first Indian Grand Prix, the 17th round of a 19-race championship already wrapped up by Vettel.

"I'm just trying to look forward. We've three good races coming up," he said. "So I'm just trying to keep my mind focussed on business."

Will she Stick Wit U? Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger's relationship 'hits rocky patch'

He's just completed back-to-back Grand Prix races, and she is busy working on the US X Factor.

And now their hectic work schedules are beginning to have an impact on Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton's relationship, according to new reports.
The superstar couple, who were last pictured together in public in August, are enduring a rocky patch, the Mirror claims.

Nicole, 33, is usually a constant presence at her 26-year-old boyfriend's F1 races, but was noticeably absent from his side at the Korean and Japanese events in recent weeks.

Nicole is required in Los Angeles where live shows on the X Factor are about to kick off, but found time to jet to New York last week to appear on Good Morning America.

'Of late, their schedules have proven pretty unworkable and they have not been able to see as much of one another as they would have liked,' a source told the Mirror.

'They still speak on the phone but this isn’t the same as face to face contact and things have been rough for the past six weeks.

'Both want it to work but it’s fair to say things are rocky. But they have rowed before and worked things out. As far as both are concerned, there is still hope.'

The allegations of trouble in the couple's relationship comes after a stressful few months for Nicole, in which she was criticised as a 'downgrade' from the judge she replaced on X Factor, Cheryl Cole.
A number of high profile TV critics ravaged Nicole's skills after her first appearance on the talent show last month.

'In the premiere [Cole] just kind of disappears midshow, without much explanation, and suddenly Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls is in her chair,' Neil Glenzinger of the New York Times wrote at the time.
'

It’s a downgrade. Ms Cole showed glimmers of being interesting; in two seasons as a judge on The Sing-Off on NBC, Ms. Scherzinger was a pretty face but, judicially speaking, not much more than a seat warmer. '

Last month, Hamilton denied that dating Nicole and the celebrity lifestyle that comes with it was a reason for his 'roller coaster' season.
'I'm not searching for it, but I still love doing that stuff,' he told Jonathan Ross.

'It's still awesome when you hang around with people like that. I still feel exactly the same way about them, the way I did before I met them, even though I know them now.

'I'm still a little starstruck, in admiration. I still see them on television, exactly as I did then. But it's strange when you look at your phone and think "I can call that guy".

'There will be more things in the future, but at the moment there are more important things to do. That is somehow to get this Formula One career at its peak because I don't feel it's at it's highest.

'I don't feel the performances are at their best, and that's what I am really trying to focus on most of all.'
A spokesperson for Hamilton denied the couple had split up, insisting they were very much together.

Lewis Hamilton insists his focus is on F1

Lewis Hamilton has dismissed suggestions his celebrity lifestyle is proving a hindrance to a Formula One career he admits is failing to hit the heights.

The Belgian Grand Prix 10 days ago proved to be another low point for Hamilton in what has so far been a rollercoaster campaign.

Hamilton took full responsibility for crashing into a barrier after colliding with Kamui Kobayashi in his Sauber, his sixth accident in a race this year.

Unsurprisingly, the legends have again had their say as Sir Jackie Stewart and Niki Lauda have both reminded Hamilton this week of the old motor-racing adage: to finish first, first you have to finish.

A week later Hamilton was appearing on Jonathan Ross' new chat show on ITV - uncomfortably reviewing the crash at one point - alongside pop star Adele and Sex In The City actress Sarah Jessica Parker.

In dating pop star girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, employing a high-profile management company in XIX Entertainment and amassing an A-list telephone directory on his mobile, it has been suggested Hamilton has become too easily distracted.

Over the years the 26-year-old has been photographed with the likes of rapper P Diddy and producer Pharrell Williams, and appearing at movie and music awards, and various after-show parties.

Asked by Press Association Sport, prior to his appearance on Ross' show, whether it was a scene he was now pulling back from, Hamilton replied: "No. I'm not searching for it, but I still love doing that stuff.

"It's still awesome when you hang around with people like that.

"I still feel exactly the same way about them, the way I did before I met them, even though I know them now.

"I'm still a little starstruck, in admiration. I still see them on television, exactly as I did then.

"But it's strange when you look at your phone and think 'I can call that guy'.

"There will be more things in the future, but at the moment there are more important things to do.

"That is somehow to get this Formula One career at its peak because I don't feel it's at it's highest.

"I don't feel the performances are at their best, and that's what I am really trying to focus on most of all."

Hamilton is naturally grateful for the lifestyle he has, however there are moments when he would love to savour normality.

Hamilton felt he briefly experienced that with Scherzinger during the summer break when they were able to walk on a beach together, unhurried and hassle free.

"It didn't seem like we had all eyes on us. We were treated like normal, regular people, and it felt pretty awesome," said Hamilton.

"Not that I would ever give up what I am doing. People look from the outside and say 'I would give anything to be in his position'.

"That is absolutely right because I would give anything to be in my position as well.

"But it doesn't matter how much money you have, you can't have everything, and I do sometimes miss some small moments of my past.

"They're not big enough to want to go back completely, but it's nice to be able to taste them now and again.

"It's a different part of reality, a different life."

It is back to reality this weekend for Hamilton with the Italian Grand Prix, and an opportunity to put behind him the embarrassment felt with his latest shunt which has left him trailing Sebastian Vettel by 113 points in the drivers' standings.

Asked as to what goes through his mind when he steps from a wrecked car, Hamilton replied: "That I'm not going to see the end of the race.

"You have a lot of anger. I just feel angry at myself. I don't think it's something to be ashamed of when you make mistakes.

"Sometimes you are in situations and you don't know how they've come about, but it is what it is and you just deal with it.

"It can be embarrassing if you're walking away in a race you know you should be leading.

"It's embarrassing for your family at home, for your guests, for your friends, so it probably has more of an impact on you inside."

Hamilton to end long distance relationship

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton and his pop star partner Nicole Scherzinger have endured a long distance (trans-Atlantic) relationship over the past few years but are on course to change by settling together in Europe.

Speaking to Bild am Sonntag, Hamilton revealed, “Nicole and I are currently busy with our careers. It is still not the right time in our relationship to get married. Just as it is now, we are happy.”

However the 2008 Formula 1 world champion confirmed, “A long distance relationship is hard. The time zones, the miserable long flights. But now we are planning that Nicole moves in with me and we want to build a house together.”

Hamilton says that Scherzinger, now a solo performer after being part of the Pussycat Dolls until 2010, will be based in Europe “There are good recording studios here. Her last album was recorded in Nice [France]” Hamilton said.

Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger are engaged, says father

Rumours are swirling that the Lewis Hamilton will marry X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, after the Pussycat Doll's father claimed the pair were engaged

Alfonso Valiente said the Formula One star proposed to the singer, who he has been dating for four years, and she accepted.

Mr Valiente gave no details of where or when the proposal took place but said he referred to the driver as "my future son-in-law".

Confusingly, a spokesman for Mr Hamilton denied the pair were engaged.

Mr Valiente, 52, split with Scherzinger's mother when the singer was six but is said to still be close with his daughter and met Hamilton last summer on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where she was brought up.

He told the Mail on Sunday: "You know about the proposal? Yes they are engaged.

"My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth.

"My family all like him. The good spirit is there’

"When he walked into the house for the first time he picked up one of the babies. That went down very well.

"He is sincere and he and my daughter seem genuinely happy together. Lewis is a really good guy. When they came to visit, we hired them a Jeep because he had never driven one before."

Scherzinger recently replaced Cheryl Cole on the US version of the X Factor after the Newcastle-born singer was dumped by producers, reportedly over fears her accent was incomprehensible to American audiences.

She met Hamilton, who is seven years her junior, at the European Music Awards in Munich in 2007.

Nicole Scherzinger looks oar-some as she teaches Lewis Hamilton to paddle-surf

He's the sports star, and she's the singer.

But when it comes to paddle-surfing, Hawaii native Nicole Scherzinger is very much the expert.
The Pussycat Doll gave her Formula 1 boyfriend, former world champion Lewis Hamilton, a lesson in the sport yesterday.

Wearing nothing but a tiny hot pink bikini, the 32-year-old took to the water and navigated her way downstream looking at ease on her board.

Stand-up paddle-surfing, known as Hoe he'e nalu in the Hawaiian language, is an emerging sport with a Hawaiian heritage.

Given that Nicole spends most of her time singing and dancing in high heels, the seasoned performer probably found this latest barefoot adventure a fairly simple task.

Hamilton looked a little less certain, sitting safely on his board as Nicole took the lead, but he recovered enough confidence to attempt taking a picture of her while standing.
Nicole isn't just in top form in the water, either.

She received excellent reviews for her role in the recent Neil Patrick Harris directed Hollywood Bowl production of Rent, where she played the bi-sexual Maureen.

'She took an iconic character, immortalized by a beloved and Tony-winning actress and made the part fresh and very much her own,' a reviewer wrote on The Huffington Post.

And she also made a huge impression on the X-Factor talent show in the UK, when she stood in as a guest judge while Cheryl Cole was recovering from malaria and Dannii Minogue was away on maternity leave.

Now, Simon Cowell wants the multi-faceted entertainer to return and help with the final stage of auditions.

According to Marie Claire magazine, Simon has reportedly offered Nicole the use of his private jet to get from location to location, in an attempt to convince her to stay on.
'Cheryl and Dannii might still be on the show - but Nicole is the hot new girl on the block,' said an ITV spokesperson.

And Nicole apparently enjoyed her guest judge stint on the show, too, telling Marie Claire: 'It's been amazing, a really wild ride. 'I've had a lot more fun than I anticipated. I loved it. The whole thing is a phenomenon. I'm a real X Factor fan.

Loved up Lewis Hamilton reunited with his Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger

Just weeks after his romance with Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, ended the couple appear to have had a change of heart.

Lewis, 25, and Nicole, 31, split in January after 20 months together to concentrate on their careers.

But yesterday the glamorous couple were spotted openly kissing in Hollywood.

And it seems Nicole couldn't contain her joy as she dropped a broad hint that wedding bells may be on the cards.

'They took a tough decision and both regretted calling it off almost immediately,' a source told The Sun.

When asked if she was looking for anything in particular while browsing clothes in a Los Angeles boutique, brunette beauty Nicole replied: 'This year - my wedding dress.'

Miss Scherzinger was by Hamilton's side as he was crowned world champion in Brazil in November 2008.

But last year saw them spending increasing amounts of time apart due to their busy careers.

Race ace Hamilton is now based in Switzerland while Miss Scherzinger lives in Los Angeles.

Hamilton, 25, was left distraught by the split and had not even acknowledged it with an announcement.

But, after she confirmed the news, Hamilton told the Daily Mail: 'I just want to move forward in a positive manner.

'It never was a distraction but I am not going to take my mind off what I've got to do by thinking about it.'

In an interview with the Mail's You magazine last July, Scherzinger admitted it was challenging to balance their busy careers with romance.

She said: 'We are both driven people who are serious about our work, so we are very supportive of the time we do have together.

'Finding time for each other can get complicated, but we find a way to work it out.'
