Qualifying: Webber continues Red Bull's P1 run

There was no stopping Red Bull Racing in Spain on Saturday as Sebastian Vettel beat his team-mate Mark Webber to pole position

With no rain in sight and a nice warm track, qualifying was always going to be a battle of the quickest and it was always going to be between the two Red Bull racers, who had dominated the earlier practice sessions.

Webber was quick out of the blocks, edging Vettel in the first two segments as the Red Bull drivers took the 1-2 in both.

However, when it mattered most in Q3 it looked as if Vettel would take the honours away from his team-mate only for Webber to put in a blistering lap, a 1:19.995, to seal the coveted grid slot. Vettel was 0.106s off the pace.

Lewis Hamilton was third quickest for McLaren, ahead of home-town favourite Fernando Alonso while Jenson Button will line up fifth on the grid.

Alongside the reigning World Champ will be Michael Schumacher after the seven-time Champ achieved his best grid slot of the season. And, for the first time, beat his team-mate Nico Rosberg in something other than a practice session.
